Shai Berger
Co-founder, Chief Executive Officer
Before co-founding Fonolo, Shai was at Keynote Systems (NASDAQ: KEYN), where he led the team responsible for Streaming Perspective, the industry standard for streaming performance measurement.
Shai led the Streamcheck team as co-founder and CEO until its acquisition by Keynote. By selling hosted services to companies like Microsoft, AOL, Akamai, Viacom and BBC, he got the company to profitability while defying the high-tech slump of 2001. Along the way, Streamcheck established the industry standard for measuring streaming media, used to this day by Microsoft to certify its hosting partners.
Shai was recently named one of the "Top 10 Influencers in VoIP" by Focus.com and, earlier, one of the "Most Influential People in Streaming" by Streaming Media Magazine. His writing appears in several books including the "Streaming Media Bible".
Shai has a degree in Engineering Physics from Queen's University and a Master's degree in Applied Science from the University of Toronto.

Jason Bigue
Co-founder, Chief Operating Officer
Jason was co-founder and Vice President of Operations at Streamcheck where he led the effort to build a global network for real-time measurement of streaming media (the first of its kind).
After Streamcheck was acquired by Keynote Systems, Jason coordinated the technical integration with Keynote's network of 2400 measurement computers in 160 cities. He took over management of the streaming group in 2005 and oversaw 30% revenue growth over the subsequent year.
Jason was a founding member and consultant for the ISIS Technology Research Center (part of the Canadian "Centres of Excellence"), where he oversaw the commercialization of several research projects in the field of fiber optics. Subsequently, he worked on some of the earliest optical networking devices at ElectroPhotonics (acquired by JDS Uniphase).
Jason has a degree in Engineering Physics from Queen's University and a Master's degree in Applied Science from the University of Toronto.

Mike Pultz
Chief Technology Officer
Prior to joining Fonolo, Mike spent several years as Director of Network Operations at Uniserve Communications Corp (TSX: USS), one of Canada's largest ISPs with over 120,000 subscribers. He led the design and management of their consumer ADSL, Dial-up, Web Hosting, Co-Location, and VoIP products. His vast experience and knowledge in web technologies, telephony, network and database design, drove the company forward through dozens of acquisitions and new product launches, resulting in a near doubling of their consumer base.
Mike was a technology advisor for the Uganda FreeMAN project, which, in co-operation with the Uganda Investment Authority, aimed to provide free public wifi access to major centers in Uganda.
Mike holds certifications from Cisco (CCNP), Oracle (OCP) and Microsoft (MCSE). He is a contributing member of several open source communities including PostgreSQL, PHP, MySQL and FreeBSD.

Chris McLean
Director of Sales
Chris has over ten years experience in software sales, with time spent building an account development team, an inside sales team and mentoring a growing enterprise field sales team. Prior to joining Fonolo, Chris was a Senior Security Sales specialist at Watchfire (an IBM company) where he helped integrate the newly acquired Watchfire sales team into the larger IBM Rational sales process.
Chris has the ability to focus on customer needs and requirements, and has successfully helped companies of all sizes achieve their goals both on a technology and business level. With his attention to customer service, Chris will drive the Fonolo sales team to excel in providing a value filled process centered on clients success.

Xania Khan
Director of Communications
Prior to joining Fonolo, Xania spent three wonderful years as the Editor-in-Chief and Brand Director of two national magazines, where she oversaw the entire editorial operations and multi-channel marketing campaigns. With over ten years of experience as an on-air-radio personality/show producer and national columnist for the Toronto Sun, 24 Hours and Sway Magazine, Xania's editorial leadership results in compelling marketing initiatives and engaging story ideas.
Parlaying her passion for business and media arts, Xania is charged with the design and execution of Fonolo's integrated communications strategies.

Omar Zaibak
Marketing Manager
Omar is a seasoned professional when it comes to growing and developing the success of technology startups. Having managed the marketing strategy for Customer1, a provider of CRM and customer support software for contact centers, Omar brings a wealth of insight and knowledge to Fonolo.
His innovative go-to-market strategies include demand generation, content development, search engine marketing, social media, branding, and web analytics. He has a deep working knowledge of the call center industry and customer experience management.
Omar has a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Toronto and is pursuing his MBA in the management of technology and innovation at Ryerson University.

Terry Libin
Mr. Libin is an active board member of Absolute Software (TSX: ABT) which is the leader in Computer Theft Recovery, Data Protection and Secure Asset Tracking solutions. With over two million subscriptions currently under contract, Absolute Software provides individuals and organizations of all types and sizes with solutions to manage regulatory compliance, data protection and theft recovery. Mr. Libin is also the founder and president of Highfield Development, a Canadian real estate development company.
Paul Russo
Dr. Russo was the founder of Genesis Microchip (NASDAQ: GNSS) and served as CEO, Director and Chairman. Under his leadership, Genesis grew to become a leading fabless semiconductor supplier, eventually being acquired by ST Micro (Europe's largest semiconductor manufacturer).
Before Genesis, Dr. Russo served as General Manager of GE's Microelectronics Center. He served as a director of several private companies including RocketChips (acquired by Xilinx), Sensium Technologies (acquired by AVNA) and ATMOS Corporation (acquired by MOSY). He served as an outside director of ATI Technologies until its acquisition by AMD in 2006.
Dr. Russo has a degree in Engineering Physics from McGill University, and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from U C Berkeley. He holds six U.S. patents, is a Fellow of the IEEE and has received numerous industry awards, including the IEEE Centennial Medal.
