Mr. Morgan was a General Partner, Venture Partner and, eventually, a Venture Advisor at Mayfield Fund, where he led their investments in a number of early stage start-up companies such as Slide (acquired by Google), Zenprise (acquired by Citrix), and Serious Magic (acquired by Adobe). Prior, he was a partner at law firms Wilson Sonsini. Currently, Morgan is Managing Director of the New Ventures Group at IdeaLab.
Mr. Gengarella was formerly CEO of Voxify, an enterprise SaaS solution for speech self-service. Following Voxify’s merger with 24/7 Customer, he led the acquisition of Tellme from Microsoft and served as the Chief Revenue Officer of 24/7. Mr. Gengarella previously held senior positions at Siebel Systems and Oracle. He is an active angel investor and advisor in leading technology ventures including Birst and Stellar Loyalty.
Mr. De Kouchkovsky brings deep expertise in contact center technology and B2B marketing. He currently advises startups and mid-size companies on marketing and market development. Mr. De Kouchkovsky was previously CMO at Genesys, driving the company’s expansion into the broader multi-channel contact center market. Prior to that, he held various executive positions at global technology companies.
Mr. Vakili brings a wealth of experience in managing intellectual property, specifically in the areas of internet and software and telecommunications. He is currently serves as a Director at Intellectual Ventures, where he focuses on IP acquisition, protection of stakeholder interests through litigation clearance and portfolio divestiture.
Shai is responsible for setting the company’s strategic direction, product innovation, and driving growth. His experience and accomplishments within the customer service and contact center industries have positioned him as a thought leader and innovator in the space. Prior to launching Fonolo, Shai was the co-founder and CEO of Streamcheck, where he led the company until its acquisition by Keynote Systems in 2003. Shai has a degree in Engineering Physics from Queen’s University and a Master’s degree in Applied Science from the University of Toronto. He was named one of the Top 10 Influencers in VoIP – Focus.com.
Jason is responsible for building and overseeing all of Fonolo’s operations including our ground-breaking cloud-based platform and our world-class marketing efforts. Prior to launching Fonolo, Jason was the co-founder and COO of Streamcheck, where he built and managed an international monitoring network for streaming media – the first of its kind. Prior to that, Jason oversaw commercialization of research in fiber optics and worked on some of the earliest optical networking devices at ElectroPhotonics (JDS Uniphase). Jason holds a degree in Engineering Physics from Queen’s University and a Master’s in Applied Science from the University of Toronto.
Prior to joining Fonolo, Mike spent several years as Director of Network Operations at Uniserve Communications Corp (TSX: USS), one of Canada’s largest ISPs with over 120K subscribers. He led the design and management of their consumer ADSL, Dial-up, Web Hosting, Co-Location, and VoIP products. Mike’s vast experience and knowledge in web technologies, telephony, network and database design catapulted the company through dozens of acquisitions and new product launches, almost doubling their consumer base. Mike holds certifications from Cisco (CCNP), Oracle (OCP) and Microsoft (MCSE) and is a contributing member of several open source communities including PostgreSQL, PHP, MySQL and FreeBSD.
Prior to joining Fonolo, Daniela spent 4 years managing outbound and inbound marketing for a Microsoft and Sage VAR. She brings expertise in B2B lead generation, social media, and content marketing to the table. Focused on precision-marketing strategies, she’s passionate about how Fonolo delivers value to businesses and consumers alike. Daniela holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree, majoring in Marketing Management, and a diploma in Marketing and eBusiness.
Chris has over ten years experience in software sales, with time spent building an account development team, an inside sales team and mentoring a growing enterprise field sales team. Prior to joining Fonolo, Chris was a Senior Security Sales specialist at Watchfire (an IBM company), where he helped integrate the newly acquired Watchfire sales team into the larger IBM Rational sales process. Chris’ keen ability to focus on needs analysis and customer service helps companies of all sizes achieve their technological and business goals.
An advocate for well aligned employee experience programs, Andrea (she/her) heads Fonolo’s Human Resources function. Her HR practice is focused on transforming organizations into employers of choice and employees into brand ambassadors through well-informed and thoughtful HR practices and programs. In other words, she’s on a mission to put the ‘Human’ Back in Human Resources. Andrea comes to Fonolo with over six years of Human Resources experience in the software industry. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (double major in Communications and Sociology), as well as a postgraduate certificate in Human Resources Management.
Paul leads Fonolo’s sales organization, managing both the internal sales team and the channel partner program. His focus is always on the customer and the ease of doing business, which helps deliver the kind of positive experience that customers truly value. He has honed his leadership craft in a series of executive roles, and even built a contact center from scratch as part of a rising star enterprise. Paul holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Wilfrid Laurier University.
Garon heads the Customer Success and Solutions Engineering department at Fonolo, where he believes strong technical acumen and empathy lead to the best customer experiences. His team helps shape all aspects of the customer journey, from pre-sales to implementation, to proactive support. Garon has over ten years of experience in the Toronto software startup scene and holds a Bachelor of Arts and Science in Computer Science and Biochemistry from the University of Toronto.
